Несколько западных источников сообщают о том, что компания Google в настоящий момент работает над созданием новой версии популярнейшего видеохостинга YouTube, которая будет рассчитана на детей младше 10 лет. Портал The Next Web, ссылаясь на The Information пишет, что Google уже ведет активные переговоры с компаниями для заполнения видеохостинга новым контентом, предназначенным специально для детей младшего возраста.

Как многие уже знают, YouTube является площадкой для самой разной возрастной аудитории. Однако, по мнению YouTube, площадка плохо оборудована для детей, и задачей Google является создание сайта, которому могли бы доверять родители. Первые шаги в этом направлении YouTube уже сделал, введя контроль за комментариями, а также специальные фильтры, которые отсеивают непотребный контент. Кроме того, развивается сервис YouTube EDU, предоставляющий исключительно познавательный и обучающий контент для школьников и студентов.

Следует отметить, что весь описываемый контент так или иначе содержит рекламу, и вопрос о том, какую именно рекламу можно будет показывать детям младшего возраста по-прежнему находится на стадии рассмотрения.
